Anonymous said...: Obviously, Tesco and Waitrose both are fully confident with the cutting saving rates to 0. But unfortunately, this action will not saves the economy, it will makes new social problems. By the way, retails didn't been influence too much I think, because as the population didn't shrink, the demand for people's basic needs didn't change a lot. By the way, people may choosed to buy food from supermarkets instead of going restaurant, therefore even been a improve of supermarkets' business.; 19 January 2009 at 07:58
